Welcome to stay on a horse farm on Adelsö, one of the islands in Lake Mälaren just outside Stockholm and the outermost island in the lake. To get here, you travel via Ekerö and Munsö and take the free car ferry to Adelsö, arriving in a beautiful cultural landscape surrounded by nature. The accommodation is an apartment on the upper floor of a cottage dating back to the late 1800s. It offers 6 beds, a charming kitchen, and a newly built bathroom with a shower. There is also a large dining table where guests can gather, enjoy meals, and play games. Outside the house, there is a pavilion with a table and chairs where you can spend warm and relaxing summer evenings. The owners live on the same property and offer both horseback riding and hunting. Horseback riding through the surrounding forests and countryside is available during the month of July. Adelsö is rich in Viking history, with many historical sites to explore. Nearby is Björkö, home to Birka, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is considered Sweden’s first town. Birka can be reached by boat from a nearby departure point. The area also offers several shallow, family-friendly beaches, cafés, and a local country store. For more extensive shopping, additional stores can be found in Ekerö town center. From Ekerö, you can also take a commuter boat to central Stockholm.
